Inside The Pulse

How We Operates Across Africa

Data Collection & Incident Reporting Framework

The Pulse platform gathers digital rights incident reports from multiple verified channels, including civil society partners, media monitoring systems, direct community submissions, and regional correspondents.

Reports may include internet shutdowns, online censorship, surveillance measures, data protection violations, and emerging technology risks.

Every reported incident undergoes a structured verification process before being published on the platform. Our team cross-references submissions with trusted media sources, partner networks, policy documents, and technical evidence where available.

Verified data is aggregated and visualized through the Pulse Intelligence Dashboard, offering real-time insights into digital rights trends across African countries. Interactive heatmaps, charts, and trend analytics allow policymakers, researchers, journalists, and civil society actors to better understand patterns of digital rights violations and policy developments.
